This is a packed newsletter! There is so much going on and of course, so much changing rapidly as has been the course of action for the last few months. Here are the big points!
If you live in the Altoona-Hollidaysburg-Johnstown, PA area, I have a special virtual performance on Sunday, July 26 via Zoom for the Almrausch Schuhplattler at the Unter Uns Club in Altoona. Come get your Sommerfest schnitzel dinner to support our good friends and bring it out to the grove- where you can socially distance and enjoy a live Zoom performance by me! I’ll be able to take requests in real-time and will probably be starting my show around 3 pm.
The Alex Meixner Band is having a very limited Northeast trip in August. All live performances will be adhering to the state guidelines and CDC recommendations, so masks will be required at the venues, social distanced seating, and advance tickets only. Please understand that this is obviously foreign to all of us as the band and IÂ truly enjoy the close interaction we get with our audiences, as much as the music, but in these times, we need to be as cautious as we can be to maintain our own health standards and the audience. We feel lucky to have the opportunity to be making music for our friends in any capacity and hope that everyone that attends can abide by the current regulations so we will have more opportunities to do this in the future.
Friday, August 7– Reading PA-Reading Liederkranz (Tickets are limited to RLK members and Alex’s $10+Patreon supporters only.)
Sunday, August 9– Warminster, PA- VE Club- Biergarten Event
Sunday, August 16– Hanover, MD-Bavarian Brauhaus– duo or trio concert. Very limited capacity. Call for tickets ASAP!
We also have a date in West Bend, WI for a drive-in Germanfest on Friday, August 28 as well as a date or two in Indiana potentially coming together before the band hits the recording studio
Please consider supporting my current recording work at www.patreon.com/alexmeixner  at an entry tier of $3/month (there isn’t a commitment, but a full year is only $36 at that level– which is less than admission a meal and a beer at one gig generally) you get access to a lot of new recordings (as well as vintage unreleased stuff) and other behind the scenes action. Higher tiers bring everything from online polls to recommend music, monthly zoom happy hour/meetup, fan profiles, or even one-on-one virtual music lessons. This is essential stuff for me. Your support allows me to continue making music and spreading positive vibes. If you’re financially able, I greatly appreciate the consideration. In these times, I’m working harder than ever to help everyone choose happiness and hope that my work is of value and accessible to the audiences I love sharing my music with!
Thank You,
Alex
