Wow, what an Oktoberfest season! From some great new gigs in north Texas to some of our favorite old haunts in PA, NY and more, it was a great run of shows for us and seemingly for all of the awesome people in our audiences! Now comes the post-Oktoberfest cap, Wurstfest in New Braunfels, Texas. Seven days of the Alex Meixner Band in the big tent starting after the Opening Ceremonies/ Biting of the Wurst this Friday, November 1. “The Alex Meixner Band Plus” will be on stage every night including a bunch of special guests throughout the festival. It’s one of the best ways to fully experience Alex and the Boys (in a festival setting) so plan on coming out! We’ll also have our full array of merch available, so visit Lori to stock up on your personal fan gear and get your family and friends’ Christmas shopping done early!
While in New Braunfels, also make sure to visit the Faust Brewery to sample the Alex Meixner Polka Pils direct at the source and/or stay at the Faust Hotel for a truly authentic experience!!
A last-minute addition has been made to Alex’s personal schedule for this month. Alex is greatly honored to receive a Linny Award, as “Performing Artist of the Year” in his hometown region of the Lehigh Valley, PA from Arts Quest on Thursday, November 14.
While he is in town, The PA Music Preservation Society has a special event at the Maingate in Allentown, PA on Friday, November 15 where Alex will be doing a little acoustic solo set on accordion. The Main Street Cruisers will be performing Oldies Rock and Roll for your listening and dancing pleasure at the event as the main feature. This is a special fundraising and membership drive for the PA Music Preservation Society, and both the Linny Awards and the PMPS event are open to the public, so please consider attending if you are in the area.
