Thank you to everyone who tuned into last night’s live stream. Your requests, kind comments, tips and purchases from the online store are greatly appreciated more than you can ever know. My passion for my entire life has been performing for audiences and knowing that I can continue to reach y’all and bring some happiness and cheer in these uncertain times makes me believe in the immense power of music more than ever.
Thank you for sharing the videos on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and through word of mouth. I’ve been hearing from people all around the world who are new fans from your recommendations. I look forward to the day when we’re able to enjoy full band shows at festivals, concert halls, and clubs again. Whenever that is, I will be more grateful than ever for the opportunity to connect in person. But, patience is a virtue, and this time of social distancing is forcing everyone to reflect on their lives and chart the courses which we will take for the present and future. As long as we stay safe and healthy, hopefully, we’re all seeing that silver lining. I’m revisiting a lot of old repertoire and exploring new music to me as well as creating new compositions. This is all super positive as I improve myself as a musician. And of course, I’m appreciative of the time with Paula at home, cooking new meals, taking walks, working on the house. Quality of life is definitely a gain.
Last but certainly not least Thank You to Lori Young for managing the office and my freakouts over gig cancellations and navigating the business; Tom Haller for guiding me through recording and band planning; Ted Lange-for recommending and assisting in setting up new processes and gear and making sure that I push myself to put the better versions of my music out there for y’all and undoubtedly, Paula is my backbone here, I can’t envision being quarantined with anyone else, I am luckier than I ever deserve. My kids are with their mother and phone time or zoom can’t replace the time in the same house, but I also understand the importance of keeping everyone safe and healthy. Last night after the live stream, I got to see the kiddos on Zoom, and it’s pretty amazing to see how they’re growing in these times. As a parent, we all want to protect our children from negative situations, but we also can’t hide them from life. It’s important to listen to their perspectives and concerns along the way and guide them (and ourselves) in these times. When we speak, in person or on social media, the impressionable youth of our world are listening. I’m trying to see what I say through different lights and hopefully making a good mark.
Much love to all of you. Thank you again for your support of me and my music. I’m already planning the next live stream and new videos. Please stay safe and healthy and choose happiness.
