After a rainy weekend in Miami (and from the looks of the map- most of the nation!!)- the polka van is pointed towards Texas. The boys are driving across the panhandle and the bayous (with stops for Boudain Balls, Buc-ees, and BBQ) while I get a few days at home with the kids for the end of the school year.
We’re all excited for another 3 day run for Maifest at Krause’s in New Braunfels on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, May 24-26, 2018. The general admission single tickets recently went on sale (as the full tables got first priority)- so call up and head over for some fun Maifest mayhem. The Faust’s Alex Meixner Polka Pils will be on draft, the food will be great and we’re all excited to perform for our awesome New Braunfels peeps!
Sunday brings the band back to a return performance at the National Polka Festival in Ennis, Texas at the KJT Hall starting at 1:30 PM. We’ll be alternating with our good ol’ friends Czech and Then Some, and opening for Brave Combo (which if I’m not mistaken, will be featuring Bubba Hernandez, so, if my bro gets there early, maybe we can talk him into doing a tune or tune with us too.)
And then very early Monday morning, I’ll be jumping on a plane for Newark, NJ and then hitching a ride to Allentown for the Great Pennsylvania Music and Arts Celebration. I’ll be performing in a bunch of different settings including a full set with John Stevens and Double Shot.
Hope to see a bunch of y’all this coming weekend!!
