As I’m sitting here at home in south Florida during a week off the road, watching a little rain storm, I’m also watching the news reports coming out of Texas with all of the horrific devastation of the hurricanes, the ensuing rain, and flooding. Thoughts and prayers are with all of our friends in the storm’s path to stay safe. Hopefully, the worst of the effects are through, but there is a long road to clean up and recovery. Much love to everyone there as we’re traveling to Houston next month to bring good spirits!
This week we are back on the east coast and are gearing up for some new territory to start the next trip. Thursday, August 31 brings the band to Maine for the first time ever. We’re doing a “Summer Send Off Party” at the Thirsty Pig in Portland. Being that this is my first time in the great state of Maine, I’m really looking forward to checking out the scene and most importantly hoping that we meet up with some old friends and new ones!
Friday and Saturday, September 1 & 2 brings us back to Rhode Island for the first time in quite awhile for The Alex Meixner Band’s inaugural performances at the famed Rhythm and Roots Festival. The band lineup is absolutely amazing and we’re all so stoked to be on the bill. If you’re in the area, come join us to “Make Some Noise”
Speaking of New Territory– I’ve been looking at the information for the Alaska cruise for June, 2018. It’s going to be awesome. There are special VIP benefits to signing up before October 1. Check it out now! Hope to be sharing some more great times with y’all soon.
Okay, time to get back to the home grind…and preparing for some new recording sessions too!
