It’s rained. It’s been sunny. It’s been warm. It’s been cold– but The Alex Meixner Band travels on. We’ve been enjoying the gigs in Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania and are now trekking out to Long Island. It’s been a while since we’ve been out to the Village Lanterne in Lindenhurst, NY so we’re looking forward to some great food and of course seeing our Long Island friends. On Thursday the band will be hitting the stage at 7 pm — but definitely call ahead for reservations as soon as possible.
On Friday, we head back down to Oakford (Feasterville-Treavose), PA to perform for the United German Hungarians. This is always a fun bunch of dancers. Don Bitterlich will also be on hand to open up the show with some extra gemutlichkeit on his accordion.
Saturday brings out the good weather for Maifest at the Reading Liederkranz! We’ve had a lot of rain in the past on this event, but the forecast looks clear finally!! That said– rain or shine- We always have an awesome time up on the hill!
Sunday’s gig at Asbury Park Festhalle, unfortunately, had to be canceled due to management changes at the venue. We are hoping to be able to do a makeup gig later in the year.
Thanks to everyone coming out to the gigs. We’re having a lot of fun with ya’ll!
