Alex and the Band are back on the road again– with a return to the Central PA Festival of the Arts at the Pennsylvania State University on Thursday. The band will be entertaining on Old Main from 8:30- 10 pm for a free show. It’s been a few years since Alex has been able to return to his graduate alma mater so hopefully, he can grab a grilled sticky while passing through town. Also, travel time permitting, (which looks pretty probable) Alex will be sitting in with the Zeropoint Big Band, led by his great friend, Rick Hirsch for a performance of “Tonight, We Tango” from the Rick Hirsch Big Ol’ Band “Pocono Git Down” album!
After Arts Fest, the boys will be heading back east for their annual Friday night summer performance at the Evergreen Club in Fleetwood, PA. This is a great venue for dancers and the band always enjoys the vibe there. Paddy is especially excited to return and play a full gig at the Evergreen, so c’mon out and cheer him on!! 🙂
Saturday and Sunday brings the band to a return performance at the Maryland German Festival at the Timonium Fairgrounds. This is a super friendly group of people at one of the oldest German Festivals in the nation. We always enjoy their hospitality and look forward to the return.
While everyone is gearing up for these German Festivals (including our return to Milwaukee in 2 weeks!!)- check out this article with my friend Erika from Rare Dirndl.
