The Alex Meixner Band is in its busiest season on the road and loving it! Great crowds in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania last week… (even our postponed date ended up being a wonderful evening with the Yarnick family that will be treasured by the boys and I). We headlined the tapping of the Golden Keg at the #3 Oktoberfest in the USA Today poll in LaCrosse, WI on Friday– as well as a great day with the Onalaska Middle & High School Bands during the week and then of course, closed the #1 Oktoberfest in the poll at Reading Liederkranz on Sunday. Thank you to all the wonderful people who shared the much improved weather and enjoyed our music at a club that has enjoyed 4 generations of my family’s music. I am greatly appreciative of the support and congratulate y’all, as well as my great friends and supporters in New Braunfels, Texas (who scored 2nd in the poll this year)– Looking forward to entertaining y’all in a few weeks!!!!
But in the meantime, Oktoberfest is continuing in the northeast! Already finished our first couple of daytime Oktoberfest shows with over 300 senior citizens up and partying this morning, it’s awesome to see how people of all generations get into the festivities! We were at Royal Manor in Garfield, NJ again on Tuesday and Wednesday and then head over to the Brownstone in Paterson on Thursday and Friday for 11:30am luncheon shows. If you’re around, call Tommy at Ace in the Hole Productions, and he’ll set you up with tickets for that, or our Bavarian Christmas show in December.
We’ll be at Reichenbach Hall in Manhattan on Wednesday and Thursday evening (both this week and next week)– so all y’all working in the city can get your Oktoberfest on right after work!
On this Friday (and next Friday)– we’ll be rocking Asbury Park, NJ at the awesome Festhalle & Biergarten and then gliding over to Hoboken for our only Oktoberfest appearance at the Pilsener Haus. Don’t miss either of these locations that have great food and beer selections for our Jersey friends.
And then– Sunday is our only appearance of the year at Stoudt’s Brewery in Adamstown, PA! We’ve been told that the VIP advance tickets are sold out, but General Admission will be available until it sells out, too!! Â Everyone that gets in is guaranteed a great time. This is one of the best places to catch the Alex Meixner Band in the USA. For those of you who have been, I know you agree– as last year, quite a few more showed up than could fit… But we’re doing everything we can to accommodate everyone. Call ahead at Stoudt’s and make sure you’re there!
Next week brings us to the Catskills, NYC, Asbury Park, Long Island and Bear Mountain before a very special presentation at Bowling Green State University for Music Publishers of America. Stay tuned to the website and social media to keep up with everything– and even better, c’mon out and join the fun!
