The summer is already getting into its final weeks as the polka van is gearing up for a journey to the northeast. We’ve got El Chavalon -“Tex”- Michael Morris getting out of Texas to play drums and sing his heart out for y’all on a fun trip to some of our perennial venues. Thursday has us in Asbury Park, NJ for an awesome Pig Roast Bier Feast at the Asbury Park Festhalle & Biergarten from 7-10pm. Chef James never disappoints- and neither does the awesome beer selection. (details on their website). Friday is our annual summer appearance at the Evergreen German Club in Fleetwood, PA. We’re on from 7-11pm but come early for seats as it’s traditionally a packed house. The food is great and the admission is free for members ($5 for non-members). Speaking of great food (guess my diet is going out the window again!), we’ll be at the Alpine in Honesdale, PA for their summer Oktoberfest on Saturday from 6-11pm after Madel Jager and Schutzen Giggles. A fun tent of the Eiffert Family’s fine homemade wurst before we head out to Plattduetsche Park in Franklin Square, NY for our only Long Island gig of this year!
After the band gigs, I’ll be doing a special press conference and workshop for the PA Music Preservation Society on Monday in Allentown, PA. I’m looking forward to rejuvenating some educational initiatives with high school students in the Lehigh Valley. Future announcements will be coming soon.
Amidst all of the gigs, I’ve been busy working on a bunch of different recording projects, including a brand new promotional campaign with Ken Weiss from Cleveland for Oktoberfests throughout the USA. Check out our website at https://oktoberfestpromos.com and see what we’re up to. Hopefully, we’re able to work on promoting fun festivals that include our favorite music, food, and beer.
Also, don’t forget to check out the new merch in the online store and the information on the Alaskan cruise. I’m really excited about this trip as I’ve been wanting to go for many years. I hope you’ll consider joining me and the band for this adventure in June 2018.
Be Well
