Oktoberfest is in full swing-- a week before the official opening in Munich as The Alex Meixner Band returns to Aberdeen Proving Ground on Friday and Saturday for their Annual Oktoberfest. We'll be there from the official keg tapping on Friday through the close on Saturday evening. Our good friends from New Jersey, Bavarski will also be performing on Saturday from 11 am- 3 pm. We're always excited to share the stage with some of the best bands in the business. It helps push our game up and keep us excited about the music we present to our audiences!
On Sunday we head a bit south and a bit west to California (?) California, Maryland, that is, for the first "Septemberfest" presented by the Optimist Club. It will be a nice afternoon to help raise funds for positive community involvement in the region. We're thankful to Dale Hoffert and Colleen Combs for organizing this event. Hopefully, we get to meet some new fans and have some fun times!!
Our westward journey continues out to our good friends Ken and Barbara Leonard in Waterloo, IL who are hosting the band at the Acorns Golf Club again on Tuesday, September 17. The public is welcome, just make sure you contact Ken in advance so he knows you are coming!
In the meantime- our merch store has some new stuff!! The beer deckels were a huge hit at the Cleveland Oktoberfest over Labor Day weekend so we've already reordered! Lori has gotten some unique items into the store- including AMB bandanas and some winter hats as the weather is supposed to cool down eventually! (We dodged a serious hurricane here in South Florida, but the temps are still hot here and in Texas where we're heading soon!)
Can't wait to show y'all our new Oktoberfest repertoire as well as perform all your favorites! Grab some new swag, t-shirts, and CDs- and join the party!!
