This being our first trip to the new Hofbrau in Pittsburgh, we didn’t exactly know what to expect—but what we got was an awesome place with a great atmosphere and audience. We started off with some old school Oktoberfest favorites and very quickly everyone was singing in the Ein Prosits and Zigge Zagge Hoi, Hoi, Hois! Of course, this was helped by many sales of shot skis, and many people enjoying the great Hofbrau beer. I personally paid for a shot ski, when one gentleman, took my challenge to chug a whole liter of beer after a shot ski of jaegermeister. (I can only imagine the headache he woke up with this morning!)
Anyway—it was great to visit with some old friends from college, as well as renowned Polka djs Pam and Jerry Zagar. (Jerry is also a great musician on bass and drums) Looking forward to another night of merriment tonight!
Saw you at the Hofbrauhaus on Friday night. It was the first time there for us and the music was a big reason we had a blast. Hopefully you can make it back to the burgh soon.
Hey Kevin – Thanks for the kind words! Things have been crazy over here. Oktoberfest is in full swing and the parties have been crazy. I’ll be back at the to the Hoffbrauhaus as soon as I can get there. Hopefully, I’ll get to see you out there!
