Come to Krause’s Cafe to kick off Maifest, the German tradition to celebrate the arrival of Spring! At Krause’s Cafe, tradition is on the menu! “Why Die Thirsty?” Gather with friends and family in the Biergarten, and enjoy the Alex Meixner Band during May 24, 25, and 26.
Tickets and tables are now available! To purchase yours, please visit the cafe to select your table from the map.
– $270 per table
– 8 wristbands for entry will be given per table

Honoring those who have fallen, celebrating our veterans who are with us – through traditional Pennsylvania music and art forms. Celebration proceeds to benefit veteran art organizations on Memorial Day weekend Friday, May 25 through Monday, May 28.
Family and veteran-friendly music, art and activities at The Historic Allentown Fairgrounds, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of serving as home to Camp Crane, the WWI Ambulance Corps 1917-1919. Recipients of 2018 Pennsylvania Music Preservation Society Fellowships will perform onsite and provide educational workshops and jam sessions for public and area students.

Alex Meixner will be teaching Alpine style Diatonic Accordion for beginners through advanced players. The curriculum will be contoured to the level and interest of the students and will include technical studies and exercises, as well as folk and original compositions learned by ear and through adapting sheet music. The preferred key combination of the accordions will be G-C-F-Bb. (If a student is bringing a different keyed accordion, please contact us ahead of time, so we can make proper adjustments) Stylistic adaptations are also available for Piano Accordion students.
Ability to read music is not necessary.
