We’re all home from Oktoberfest tour at the normal halfway point, but grateful to have had some gigs and be able to play for live audiences. I’m also completely understanding of all the people who aren’t comfortable coming out to our limited events. It’s a difficult time to know what to do. Every day I’m just doing my best to choose happiness and keep making music. Honestly, some days are easier than others, but I’m thankful for the people in my life that are helping me along.
In the meantime, the quick stuff to announce: I have an hour live stream tomorrow (Friday, October 9) presented by Accordion Babes! Head Accordion Babe- Renee de la Prade (formerly of California, now a resident of Germany) has invited me to join her all-star international lineup for Accordion Fridays. I hope you’ll tune in to my performance at 4 pm eastern time as well as check out her eclectic programming before and after my performance.
We also have one last Oktoberfest performance with the Alex Meixner Band and special guests Hops und Schnapps. We’ll be at the Kelsey Brewing Company in Lake Park, FL on Saturday. If you’re in the area, come on out and enjoy the show!
We have some really cool new music that is being produced for some commission projects as well as I’m super excited about the different stuff I’m prepping for the Patreon site. I posted a classic live track from my days with the Stratton Mountain Boys in Helen, GA yesterday and will get some more stuff up in the next few days. I would greatly appreciate your support on that site. With the limited amount of gigs, this is the primary source for us being able to get paid for our music. We’re hopeful that things can start picking back up for 2021 but are also realistic that, even with a vaccine being available worldwide (hopefully sometime within the next few months) that it’ll be a while before stuff can really get back to anything close to the audiences we had before. I hope I can continue making music that adds positive value to your lives and by supporting on Patreon it helps make sure that will happen.
