The Christmas tour gigs start with some return engagements—Tuesday Dec. 3 at Wolff’s Biergarten in Albany, NY and Wednesday Dec. 4 at the Evergreen in Fleetwood, PA are perennial stops on our trips and always great places to meet friends. Both places feature superb food, drink selections- so even if you might not like the band, c’mon in!
Thursday Dec. 5 brings me and Tommy Haller back to St Lawrence Croatian Club in Steelton, PA to jam with Raczar Lopatic. Last time I was here we had a few jamming musicians join us- and word is a few tamburasi might be bringing their axes…
After performing for a Christmas party somewhere in Pennsylvania, I’ll be stopping by Liberty Bellows– the premier Accordion shop in Philadelphia to do a little accordion clinic/ concert in the afternoon of Sat Dec. 7– before bringing the band down to Blob’s Park in Jessup, MD. At Blob’s Park, we’ll be featuring 2 young accordionists with the band (Michael Leggett and Cody McSherry) whose combined ages don’t equal mine… Come hear them tear down the house and play some fun polkas with the Band!
On Sunday, December 8, we’ll be heading on up toFranklin Square, NY (Long Island) to play at Plattduetsche Park. It’s always a good time there—speaking of great food and drinks… It’s hard to leave this place at the end of the night—but we have an early Monday morning just outside of Lancaster, PA where the band and I will be doing some performances/ clinics at a Middle School and High school for the day. I always enjoy working with student musicians and in the case, also sharing some of the German holiday traditions with the German classes!
