Sometimes it’s like Groundhog Day as we enter 12 months of the covid crisis and hiccups of our life plans. But with that old saying, “We plan, God laughs” we’ve all been adjusting, and hopefully as the vaccines are being made more available and being distributed, we can all see some light at the end of the tunnel. With that said, a lot of major festivals are having to still cancel for the summer because of the logistics and uncertainty. It’s very easy to express frustration, but it’s a lot more work and investment than many realize for some of these events and the profit margins are slim in many cases for everyone from the promoters to the vendors and musicians. We’re all working as hard as we can to adapt and find a path so the best way to support the performers and presenters is to find the events you feel comfortable attending in person or virtually.
Speaking of virtually…I prerecorded an exclusive performance for the S.T.V. Bavaria’s Bratwurstessen streaming on Saturday, March 6th! Check it out and enjoy/ support our good friends in Cleveland! Tickets are still available to watch from the comfort of wherever you may be.
And we do have some in-person performances starting to pop up! Social distancing is being practiced, but music is uniting people. The Alex Meixner Band will be “Shamrockin’ the Haus” for the American German Club of the Palm Beaches in Lake Worth, FL on March 13. Tickets are limited so get yours today!!
There are also bookings coming together for Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York in late April/ early May, as well as Texas in late May. If you have a venue (public outdoor or even private backyard parties) let us know and we’ll see if we can put something together that works.
