Thank you to all of my friends for their support during our preparation and encounter with Hurricane Irma. I’m lucky to have great people that helped prepare my house while I was on the road and I’m especially thankful that the kids and my ex-wife were able to safely evacuate and then come back home. And thank you to everyone for their concerns and offers of shelter and assistance if necessary. Luckily the storm spared my house, except for a tree in my front yard that took a tumble.
Moving forward, I’m happy that the band and I will be making our first appearances at the Addison Oktoberfest this week. This is a great festival from all accounts, so we hope to see our friends from the DFW area up there on Thursday and Friday. I’m excited to have my good friend John Dujka joining Michael Morris and Chris Heslop to rock the audience up here.
Please consider checking out the online store at www.alexmeixner.com as a portion of the proceeds raised from the store will be donated to Team Rubicon, a veteran-staffed disaster recovery group. With all of these natural disasters lately, it’s making me realize even more than normal how important it is to treasure the people we love and the world around us. Enjoy some music, some great food and the people in your lives.
See ya soon!!
