Heads up, Nashville! Now POLKA PANDEMONIUM will have even more Polka!
The Alex Meixner Band is joining the fun on October 29th along with host, Kathy Mattea!
Next Tuesday, October 29th, 3rd & Linsley in Nashville, Tennessee will be the place to be to witness POLKA PANDEMONIUM when Brave Combo and The Alex Meixner Band take the stage to honor two legends, Steve Popovich Sr. and Cowboy Jack Clement at Steve Popovich Jr.’s revival of the 1987 event that starred Frank Yankovic, “America’s Polka King” and resulted in a live album, which Clement produced for Mercury/Nashville. The evening will be hosted by Grammy & CMA winning country artist, Kathy Mattea.
There will be a large dance area for everyone to cavort around and bang into one another as is the custom at polka parties worldwide. Two-time Polka Grammy winners, Brave Combo will bring their own originals and also perform such polka standards as “In Heaven There is No Beer”, “Who Stole the Keeshka” and “Beer Barrel Polka”.
The Alex Meixner band featuring the Grammy-nominated Alex Meixner also includes Ed Klancnik and Hank Guzevich(Polka Family Band). Ed Klancnik lives in Nashville and has recorded at the Cowboy Arms Hotel & Recording Spa when he was in Walter Ostanek’s Band(Canada’s Polka King). Walter recorded an album at the Spa called, Hawaii that Cowboy both played and sang on. Hank Guzevich has 4 Grammy Nominations with Polka Family Band.
